The Greens’ free public transport plan will mean $1.6 billion dollars will be ripped from NSW revenue with the loss of public transport fees but NSW Greens spokesperson for Transport Abigail Boyd said the Greens have backed the plan.

She said NSW already subsidised 80 per cent of the public transport.

“For that extra 20 per cent we get all these amazing benefits like social mobility and benefits to the economy,” she said.
