Greens MP in hot water after posting a photo with his wife
Greens MP Adam Bandt is facing the wrath of the PC brigade after he made an innocent comment about his wife’s appearance.
The Victorian politician attended an event with his wife over the weekend and posted a happy-snap to social media.
But the caption has some up in arms.
To accompany the picture, Mr Bandt writes: ‘With hot wife at Bangarra’s opening night of ‘Dark Emu’.
A flood of criticism followed, with the MP’s followers slamming him for calling his wife “hot”.
One commenter even went as far as to say he was “alienating his progressive support base”.
Mr Bandt’s wife, Claudia Perkins, has since come out in defence of her husband, clearing up that she isn’t at all offended by his comments.
Ben Fordham says this if proof that the “fun police” are well and truly “back on duty”.
“Why isn’t he allowed to say that his wife is hot?
“Women appreciate being told that by their husbands. Husbands don’t mind being told it either!”
