Victorian Police have released mobile phone footage of two men being attacked by in East Melbourne on Thursday night.

In the video, three men can be seen repeatedly kicking and punching the victims, who try multiple times to stand up and defend themselves.

Investigators have been told that two men, aged 61 and 45, were approached by three unknown men around midnight.

It’s believed a verbal altercation took place before the physical attack began.
