It’s the beginning of the end of an era for Sydney’s transport network, with the first of the Manly Freshwater ferries undertaking her final voyage this afternoon.

Nine News reporter Airlie Walsh will be on board the Queenscliff when she departs Manly for Circular Quay for the last time, and told Deborah Knight the vessel is being farewelled with a great deal of fanfare.

“There’ll be lots of farewell-wishers, we’ve already got quite a few of those lining the dock.”
