Government reaches out to Swimming Association amid teacher shortage
NSW Sports Minister Alister Henskens has fronted up to the crisis with swimming teachers.
A mass swimming teacher shortage is leaving parents upset as their kids miss out on vital water skills.
Mr Henskens told Deborah Knight the rules around fee-free teacher training were actually relaxed on January 1st this year.
Minister Henskens also added that the government has reached out to The Australian Swimming Coaches and Teachers Association for clarity regarding the program.
