The federal government is being urged to do more to reduce the cost of gas and electricity.

Anthony Albanese is working on a plan to help households and businesses deal with high energy costs.

Australian Workers Union national secretary Daniel Walton told Luke Grant the government needs to ensure Australians are put ahead of the international market.

“We have the largest gas reserves in the world, yet we are one of the only nations that doesn’t have a mechanism to keep our own gas to benefit Australians.

“The government needs to do more to tackle these extraordinary high prices.”
