Go regional: NSW to lift travel restrictions
Regional holidays in NSW have been given the all-clear from June 1.
Art galleries, libraries and museums will also re-open, with social distancing enforced.
Libraries are encouraged to have special opening times for high-risk groups, and books will be quarantined for 24 hours before returning to the shelves.
All public school students will return to school full time on May 25.
NSW Deputy Premier John Barilaro had previously said regional areas would be off-bounds until Christmas.
“Well, Christmas has come early!” he told Ray Hadley.
“Ring ahead, check your accommodation. But if you’re not well in the first instance, don’t leave Sydney.”
