Businesses are welcoming a raft of changes being considered by the NSW Treasurer.

Hospitality staff could be able to pull beers without a Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate, as long as they are supervised by a manager with their RSA.

The idea is part of a suite of measures being drafted by the Treasurer, in consultation with Planning Minister Anthony Roberts, to help keep businesses afloat.

Doltone House Group Chairman Paul Signorelli told Ben Fordham the laws need to be relaxed to help struggling businesses.

“I want to encourage the Planning Minister … to extend trade hours.

“Tell councils to relax inspections … give us a break! We’ve been closed for two years.”
