Jim Wilson has called out Foreign Minister Marise Payne saying she needs to visit the Solomon Islands.

The Minister has come under fire after Australia sent the Minister for the Pacific Zed Seselja instead of her.

As tensions rise, Jim said Australians deserve to know the truth.

“Still to this day, the Foreign Minister remains in Australia campaigning for the Liberal party, rather than getting on the first flight to Honiara to try and sort out this mess,” Jim said.

“Get on a plane, and get over there and while you’re doing it, Minister, sure up our relationships with other Pacific nations, because we don’t need more of them signing deals with Beijing.”
