Incoming Dragons coach Shane Flanagan admits there’s “a lot of frustration” shared between Ben Hunt and the club after the star playmaker’s request for a release was blocked on Monday.

Hunt’s future at the Dragons has been the biggest talking point in the game in recent days as the club stares down the barrel of another season without finals football.

Flanagan, who will leave Manly at the end of the season to take over at the Dragons, revealed what happened at the meeting when the club decided to block the 33-year-old’s request.
