Tanya Plibersek has conceded there is an option for psychology sessions to be better covered by bulk billing under Medicare instead of the current 10 sessions under a mental health care plan a year.

She says the workforce needs to be increased before a policy like the one the Greens want could be implemented.

“We definitely need to increase access to mental health services,” she told Chris O’Keefe.
