Former PM speaks out against Indigenous Voice

Former prime minister Tony Abbott has weighed in on the Indigenous Voice to Parliament.
He told The Australian the Voice would have something similar to a “veto” over decisions made by the federal government.
“I’m all in favour of recognising Indigenous people in our Constitution,” he said.
“But not if it means making a race-based body – part of our parliament – and not if it means changing our system of government.”
