Former Prime Minister Scott Morrison called into Ben Fordham Live to pay tribute.

Former Governor-General of Australia Peter Cosgrove shared his memories of Jim Molan.

Mr Cosgrove told Deborah Knight his work in the military is profound and courageous.

“Jim was the sort of person who in charge of any enterprise or work would give it 110 per cent.”

Liberal Party leader Peter Dutton later joined Ray Hadley and spoke of the former major general’s good nature.

“He was a real gentleman,” Peter Dutton later told Ray Hadley. “He just oozed that decency.

“I think people naturally gravitated to him and felt that he gave them a fair hearing.

“On top of the fact that he had a genuine interest in people and what they were saying, I think his mind was just so big.”

Former prime minister Tony Abbott shared an emotional tribute about Jim Molan to Ray Hadley.

“Jim Molan was a great Australian, who served Australia with distinction, in the military and the parliament,” the former PM said.

“He will be a huge loss to our public life.”
