Premier Mark McGowan last week unveiled WA’s reopening roadmap.

However the roadmap has been met with criticism especially with borders not reopening until late January; depending on when the state hits the 90 per cent double dose vaccination target.

Flight Centre is considering launching legal action against the WA government’s border restrictions.

Graham Turner, Flight Centre CEO, told Jim Wilson our legal team is feeling ‘reasonably confident’ at this stage and have lots of businesses supporting our legal challenge.

“We haven’t definitely decided to go ahead yet but we are hoping to make a definite decision this week after we take that legal advice,” he said.

“We certainly believe this is something worth challenging.

“There are a whole range of people severely affected by this.

“People with close relatives in Australia or overseas who just can’t see their loved ones.”
