A five year old boy has survived after being bitten by a three-metre long python and dragged into a pool.

Beau was by the swimming pool at his family’s Byron Bay home when the snake attacked him yesterday afternoon.

His father Ben says Beau’s 76 year old grandfather was the hero.. diving into the pool to rescue him.
