Premier-elect Chris Minns has had his first interview since Saturday in studio with Ben Fordham.

Mr Minns says conversations with unions about pay rises for public servants, will start very soon.

Labor has been elected on a platform of scrapping the wages cap that applies to all Government workers including nurses, teachers and police officers.

Mr Minns has told Ben Fordham, some agreements expire in the middle of the year.

“We know we have to get our feet under the desk,” he said.

Mr Minns won’t finalise his cabinet until the final make-up of the Parliament is known.

Vote counting is due to resume – with as many as nine seats still in doubt.
