Federal Finance Minister Simon Birmingham disagrees with Shadow Treasurer Jim Chalmers stating that Labor’s costing is “responsible quality investments”.

Announced today, Labor’s 2022 election policies are forecast to add an extra $7.4 billion to the budget bottom line over four years.

Mr Birmingham told Jim Wilson he doesn’t think they’re “responsible” at all.

“There are many areas here where Labor has gone after stakeholders to pacify them to create some sort of narrative for the election campaign.”
