‘Final piece of the puzzle’ – Minns government scraps Greyhound Racing for 7,300 new homes
NSW Minister for Gaming and Racing David Harris confirms the Minns government’s decision to close Wentworth Park, ending 95 years of greyhound racing at the site.
The move is hailed as a “necessary action” to create a “final piece of the Blackwattle Bay puzzle,” unlocking land for up to 7,300 new homes and community sports fields just 1.5km from the CBD.
