A hard-working Scottish family is set to be deported.

In, 2012 Mark Green and his family moved here on a working visa after he was head-hunted by an Adelaide solar company.

Mark could become a permanent resident after three years but before that time was up, the company who brought him over went broke.

Subsequently, this happened seven times to Mark as he tried to secure more work in Adelaide.

Now, the Department of Immigration is refusing to extend the family’s visa – sending them home by August 10.

South Australian MP Frank Pangallo told Ben Fordham “these are the type of people this country sorely needs”.

“Australia’s visa system … needs a very quick overhaul.”

Mark told Ben he can’t explain how his family is feeling.
