Nurses are demanding better staff to patient ratios and a pay rise as they prepare to walk off the job tomorrow.

It’s the first time the workforce has gone on strike in almost a decade.

NSW Nurses and Midwives’ Association General Secretary Brett Holmes told Ben Fordham nurses from almost 150 health sites will participate.

“It’s really important that the Premier listens … and understands that if he doesn’t listen there will be tens of thousands of nurses who are considering their future in our health system.”
