A group of Irish construction workers will take dozens of trucks of water to drought-stricken farmers in regional NSW.

The convoy is rallying at Rosehill Racecourse and organiser Chris Murphy tells Alan Jones listeners can donate “anything at all” to help the cause.

“Or best again, jump in the car and go and spend a weekend out in Armidale.”

80 trucks have joined the Sydney to Armidale Water Run so far, but you can bring further donations to Rosehill Racecourse from 9.30am til 5pm today (November 22).

“This is the kind of spirit we should have in government,” Alan says.

“And here we have it with just volunteers.”
