Chris O’Keefe raises doubts over the viability of an NRL team in Papua New Guinea due to concerns about safety, corruption, and inadequate infrastructure, despite the country’s love for rugby league.

On the 26th of October 2023, St. George Dragons star Jack De Belin told Wide World of Sports it’s a no-brainer for Papua New Guinea to be the eighteenth team in the NRL.
