Family of five escape burning home at North Bondi

A family of five has escaped their burning home in the eastern suburbs, with initial reports suggesting it was deliberately lit.
Three children and two adults were inside the North Bondi property when it went up in flames just after midnight this morning.
The fire started in a tree and spread to the roof of the house.

Two adults and three children managed to get out of the home uninjured, as firefighters spent about two hours battling the blaze.
The property has sustained extensive damage and fire investigators will now work to determine the cause of the blaze.
Police have confirmed initial inquiries suggest an arsonist may be responsible.
