The Greater Western Sydney Giants are gearing up for their first-ever AFL Grand Final after seven years in the League.

Richmond will play the GWS Giants in the AFL decider on Saturday night.

GWS Giants chairman Tony Shepherd tells John Stanley he’s “extremely excited”.

“It is so surprising that it almost takes your breath away. It’s just great to be here.

“The trick to the Giants, to be where we are, is a great team.”

The first employee of the GWS Giants and Director of Coaching Alan McConnell tells John the team have come a long way.

“The fact that they also lived together meant that they shared their time away from the game… and I think that has played a significant part in the connection that they’ve made.”
