Liberal MLC Rachel Merton jumped on the line to chat with Mark Levy about the controversy surrounding the culling of brumbies and whether there’s a real need to do so.

Correction: This segment stated that the aerial culling operation in the Kosciuszko National Park exclusively targeted brumbies while leaving other feral animals, such as pigs, untouched. This has since been clarified. The New South Wales Government and the Environment Minister’s office have confirmed that the operation targets all invasive species. In addition to brumbies, the aerial shooting operation will actively target feral deer, pigs, and wild dogs.
