An expert has called for AI to be policed after a fake video created by AI depicting celebrities like Scarlett Johannson recently went viral this week.

Associate professor at the Australian Catholic University warned AI could be misused to impact important matters or perceptions.

“Identifying the fakes [videos] from the real ones would get more difficult,” she told 2GB Afternoons.
