A concert held by the Royal Navy has been cancelled as students gather at Town Hall Square to protest the ongoing crisis in Palestine.

The organisers behind the concert, due to take place at St Andrews’s Cathedral just after lunch, were left with no choice but to cancel the event due to safety concerns for the defence personnel attending.

Dean Sandy Grant says events at the cathedral have been massively impacted several times thanks to regular pro-Palestine protests.
