Premier to suspend overheight truck registrations
NSW Premier Chris Minns has announced he wants to take the power back to suspend the registration of overheight trucks, following months of traffic gridlock across Sydney.
It follows two more overheight trucks causing chaos on the approach to the Sydney Harbour Tunnel yesterday.
The Premier told Ray Hadley he is looking at taking overheight trucks off the road for between three and six months.
Premier Minns has also written to the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator to insist the current system be overhauled as it’s not working.
