EXCLUSIVE: Minns government’s shock call on seven-star building standards

Article image for EXCLUSIVE: Minns government’s shock call on seven-star building standards

Ray Hadley has revealed that those looking to build a new home in New South Wales will have just six weeks from today to avoid the controversial requirement to meet a seven-star energy rating.

Unlike other states in the country, which are deferring this regulation until October 1, 2024, NSW Government plans to announce the short delay on seven-star standards today, according to Ray.

UPDATE: Housing Industry Association NSW executive director David Bare responds to Ray’s news.
