NSW Minister for Roads John Graham has exclusively revealed to Ray Hadley that since last Friday seven overheight trucks have had their registrations suspended and have been banned from the roads for six months.

Overheight trucks blocking tunnels in Sydney has been a scourge for commuters, and now several of those drivers have had their registrations suspended.

“The message to those who own and operate trucks is if you do not plan properly and your drivers find themselves overheight and being backed into a slip lane then there are severe consequences for your business – not just the individual driver’s licence and bank account”, a statement from his office read.

Before he came to speak to Ray, the Minister was held up by yet another overmass truck which hit a wall at Cowper Wharf Road trying to get towards a tunnel.

The Minister also revealed to Ray he intends to close a loophole involving overseas driver’s licences.
