EXCLUSIVE | Bishop orders NSW priest to remove anti-vax video

A NSW Catholic priest has been forced to remove an anti-vax video where he called on controversial drugs to be used to fight COVID-19.

Father Andrew Grace at the Sacred Heart Parish in Griffith posted a video to the church’s Facebook page, saying he “pleads to the government to provide vaccines that have no association with abortion.”

He called for the government to look at introducing the controversial drugs Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine to be used as COVID treatments.

Wagga Wagga Bishop Mark Edwards has told Ben Fordham Live in a statement, “I have instructed Father Grace to remove references to medical treatments that are not approved by the Australian authorities.”

Catholic Social Services Chair Francis Sullivan told Ben Fordham the video was “bizarre”.

“At a time like this, every Catholic spokesperson should be making it plain that the price of participation is vaccination.”
