NSW Treasurer Matt Kean believes the new toll relief payment is enough, stating “every bit counts”.

Dominic Perrottet says the scheme will more than double the number of Sydney drivers who benefit.

A discounted registration program will be replaced by 40 per cent rebates, once $375 is spent on tolls annually.

A maximum rebate of $750 a year will be available.

Mr Kean told Jim Wilson, that they are providing the relief at the right time with inflation on the rise.

“You’ll save far greater than the rate of inflation these tolls are going up by.”
