The ACT’s Director of Public Prosecutions, Shane Drumgold has been asked to ‘please explain’ why he tried to block the release of a police report in the trial of Bruce Lehrmann.

The report by Detective Superintendent Scott Moller raised concerns about the allegations of rape against Lehrmann, as the report described Brittany Higgins as “evasive” and “manipulative”.

Higgins had previously refused to hand her phone over to the police, and when she did, text messages were deleted, therefore police could not verify crucial information.

“Make no mistake, the senior figure in major strife here is the DPP,” said Ben.
