Energy Minister Matt Kean is calling on the federal government to urgently fix energy prices.

The Commonwealth is preparing to intervene in the national energy market but South Australia and Queensland are indicating they’re against price caps on coal and gas.

Mr Kean told Ben Fordham the federal government needs to act on coal and gas.

“It’s a national problem and it needs a national solution.

“We should do whatever it takes to get energy prices down.”
