NSW Parliament Speaker Jonathan O’Dea is the eighth Coalition MP to quit in the lead-up to the March election.

He’s been the Member for Davidson, one of the safest seats in the state, since 2007. 

Mr O’Dea told Ben Fordham after 16 years in parliament, “it’s time to give someone else a go”.

“We want to welcome new people in the parliament.”
