Four men and four women are in custody in three states, following a lengthy investigation into the suspected abuse of children in southern New South Wales.

Police have been investigating allegations of sexual abuse, incest, and neglect since 2012.

A man and woman have been refused bail in Griffith, and police will be seeking to extradite the others from South Australia and Western Australia.
