Education Minister says eased isolation rules for teachers ‘on the table’
The NSW Education Minister will look at easing COVID isolation rules for teachers.
Ben Fordham Live has been contacted by parents and teachers reporting a major teacher shortage in the state’s schools.
Sarah Mitchell told Ben Fordham easing COVID restrictions “is something that is on the table”.
“I understand the views of Kerry Chant and Brad Hazzard who I respect enormously but we are certainly being hit by teachers who have to isolate because a member of their family has COVID.
“If we could ease those restrictions or look at ways to bring back our teachers as essential workers, that would certainly help us.”
