The NSW Education Minister has expressed her frustration with the Teachers Federation as they prepare to go ahead with an illegal strike.

Educators around the state will walk off the job today as they call for more action on increasing workloads, teacher shortages and pay.

Sarah Mitchell told Ben Fordham a strike is the last thing families need.

“I’m incredibly disappointed that the union is taking this approach.

“There’s more disruption being caused by the union today than we’ve seen in schools with covid cases since we returned to learning from home.”
