A beloved Sydney doctor has once again been targeted by the Medical Council of NSW.

Dr Peter Brown’s patients rallied around their GP but the Medical Council has continued to put pressure on him ahead of his retirement this month.

They’ve now told the 71-year-old they want to conduct another review, with the panel holding the power to shut him down.

Dr Brown told Ben Fordham they’ve suggested he’s “mentally impaired”.

“It seems to me, because I’m willing to stand up to them and stand up for the rights of my patients, I must be mentally impaired.”
