As Manly prepares to pull on a special 2008 heritage jersey against the Melbourne Storm tonight, Menzies looked back on the historic 40-0 grand final victory that sealed his fairytale rugby league exit.

The game was Menzies’ final match in the NRL, and it ended in spectacular fashion when he came off the bench late in the match to score the final try of the game.

Speaking to the Continuous Call Team, Menzies revealed he was actually terrified his teammates wouldn’t give him the ball, or that he would fumble the moment entirely.
