Domino’s CEO’s words of wisdom for the class of COVID-19

Michael McLaren

Enterprising young people have received encouragement from one of Australia’s biggest business success stories.

Domino’s Pizza CEO Don Meij told Deborah Knight despite trying his hand at many things, he’s always been “deep down, really an entrepreneur”, starting a window cleaning business in his early teens.

Now in charge of one of the world’s biggest and most recognisable food brands, he has some words of advice to help the next generation “be the fish swimming against the stream” in an upturned world.

“There’s no such thing as wasted learning.

“Whatever you do, be the best at what you’re doing, because it will open the next door.”
