Dominic Perrottet: Scrapping mandatory COVID isolation ‘was the right decision’
Dominic Perrottet believes the ruling to scrap mandatory isolation was the “right decision”.
Today the National Cabinet made the decision to scrap mandatory isolation, for people who test positive to COVID-19.
It will take effect from the 14th of October.
Only workers in high-risk settings, such as aged care, will still be required to quarantine.
Pandemic payments for casual workers with no access to sick leave will also be scrapped, except for those working with vulnerable people.
The NSW Premier told Jim Wilson the decision came after heavy consults from health advice and it is now the final step to getting back to “normal living”.
