With the Test match between Australia and South Africa being severely affected by rain, the question is posed if Sydney needs a weatherproof sports stadium.

Venues NSW Chairman Tony Shepherd told Mark Levy it’s needed immediately so Australia can host all sorts of sporting events.

“We need an opening and closing roof stadium, Melbourne has one why don’t we?”
