A disqualified driver has been arrested after a police pursuit in Sydney’s south-west overnight.

Officers tried to stop the driver of a black Audi on Rawson Road, Greenacre, at about 11.15pm but he allegedly failed to stop.

A pursuit was initiated, reaching speeds of up to 90km/h through the 50km/h residential streets.

The vehicle was forced to stop when blocked by a Highway Patrol car attending an unrelated crash.

Police seized ice and an ice pipe from the car.

The 20-year-old man was arrested at the scene.
