The Federal Government is defending its decision to go against the advice of the Chief Medical Officer, by implementing Covid testing for travellers from China.

Professor Paul Kelly wrote to the Health Minister saying there wasn’t sufficient rationale for the restrictions.

Shadow Health Minister Anne Ruston told Joe Hildebrand it’s a disgrace.

“It just seems like a really quick panic response from the government.”
