Shadow Attorney-General Damien Tudehope has emphatically slammed comments made by former Liberal colleague David Elliott in his Straight Shooters segment on Thursday.

Tudehope says his words about the motivations of the alleged Bondi terror attacks had been taken out of context.

“Well, I ought to say David ought to put his brain into gear before he opens his mouth because, quite frankly, that was an absurd comment,” he said,

Elliott told Clinton Maynard that Tudehope had undermined two Opposition leaders.

“That’s a disgrace, I think both those people would say that they have absolutely full confidence in me, and the manner in which I support them,” he added.
