Dick Smith | Immigration will leave young Australians jobless
Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton is distancing himself from reports he proposed to cut immigration rates.
There are reports he proposed cutting the annual migration intake by 20,000, but the idea was rejected by the Prime Minister and the Treasurer.
Immigration campaigner Dick Smith tells Ben Fordham something needs to be done.
“It’s not so much the jamming of the traffic which is terrible, but its the fact that our young people will never get a permanent job if we’re not careful.
“If you start bringing in one million people every five years, and with automation robotics, our children won’t have jobs.”
