Data centres set to have huge impact on Sydney’s water supply
As demand for AI and cloud computing surges, Sydney Water has warned data centres could use up to 25 per cent of Sydney’s drinking water within the next decade.
2GB Afternoons Michael McLaren spoke about the impact data centres could have on the water levels in Sydney.
“According to Sydney Water, data centres could consume up to a quarter of all Sydney’s drinking water by 2035,” McLaren said on 2GB Afternoons.
