Darren Berry has called on Cricket Australia to refrain from extending the Big Bash.

Competition organisers are toying with the idea of adding another 14 matches, but Berry said dwindling crowds told him the season is long enough.

“Please, please, Cricket Australia – don’t get greedy and expand the competition,” Berry said during the Stars v Hurricanes match.

The MCG crowd figure at that match was just 19,671.
