Discussing Boyd’s new role on the Continuous Call Team, MG highlighted the hidden advantage Queensland could possess if the former Origin star brings his long-time mentor into the camp.

“I’m pretty sure that Queensland wouldn’t have given him the jersey as coach unless he said to them, ‘By the way, I’m going to have somebody called Wayne Bennett helping me out,'” Geyer said. “And guess what? That means trouble for (NSW), because Mr. Bennett being involved in Origin scares me.”
